Pyramid Vision was founded in 1997 as a spin-off of the Sarnoff Corporation, the former RCA Laboratories that is today a nine-time Emmy awarding-winning innovation services and technology development company. Sarnoff has led the development of such key video advances as color television, solid-state imaging, the liquid crystal display, digital television and cable video-on-demand. It is also home to one of the world’s premier computer vision laboratories, led by Dr. Peter Burt. Dr. Burt, who also serves as Pyramid Vision’s Chief Scientist, actively guides the company’s product development programs.
